Hi there!

Slowly approaching 100K !! Thanks a lot for this crazy amount of views!

After finishing work on Frank Millers "300", I still didn't had enough from painting clouds. So I started this one for fun and as promotional piece for Jessy Veilleux's (www.jessyv.com) new company Meduzarts (www.meduzarts.com).

I painted this picture from scratch, starting with the clouds and finished with the city. No 3d geometry was used no photo references. It would have been for sure more accurate to use a 3d base and photorefs for the beginning.
But I basically saw this as an excercise to practice my painting skills and I had a lot of fun with it. I hope the small details show that ... :o)

Overall I tried to create an futuristic industrial environment with gothic architecture merged with sci-fi elements at dusk.
I tried to create a transition with the vegetation vs. the buildings from the left to the right.

Thanks a lot for viewing,
Best Regards,

Dan

PS.: By the way, the download version is at 1920x1080 ...

That works so beautifully, Dan. The shifting colors are right on the button.
