Hi there!
What the hell!
This mattepainting is part of my latest commission.
Unfortunately I couldn't do any personal works lately.
Therefore I'm glad that I'm allowed to show you this one ...
Based on a 3D blockmodel I started the matte painting which measures 6k in the original.
Finally I'll project the whole thingy back to the blockmodel.
Software involved:
Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc ...

Hell indeed. I wonder if that how it will look in a couple of 100 years after several possible nuclear wars and lots of pollution.
Nice details and great colors. I'm not so sure about those 2 big 'rocks' to the left though, looks a bit odd. Are they mountains?

the first plane could be a little more darker , maybe that's will add a more poweerfull & atractive contrast.
maybe add a big cathedral on the right, and/or a character ; ) just a suggestions, for fun ^^
